dc.description.abstractThe fundamentals of legal regulation of distance learning in higher education establishments of Ukraine are revealed. It is noted that this type of training has not fully implemented in the educational process in higher education establishments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine yet. Improvement of appropriate legal base could facilitate its further establishment and development. It is noted that the issue of legal regulation of distance learning in higher education establishments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine have not received sufficient scientific elucidation. The urgency of these issues is also due to the advent of new regulations regulating the scope of the educational process. The objective of this article is to analyze the current legislation regulating the distance learning in higher education establishments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The author noted the basic regulations relating to distance learning in higher education establishments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, and offered some regulatory empowerment of the possibilities of distance learning at the legislative level. Special attention is paid to regulations, which directly regulate this sphere of relations. Among them the author made a detailed analysis of the order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine dated from July 21, 2008 № 346 «On Approval of the Provisions on Training Specialists in higher educational establishments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on part-time and distance learning forms». It is indicated that not all the features of distance learning found their consolidation. For further establishment and development of distance learning in higher educational establishments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine the author has suggested certain alterations and amendments to the mentioned by-law regulation, including filling its content by additional terms, disclosure of the features of classes of distance learning form, adding the norms that would consolidate the provision of using distance learning technologies in education process of higher educational establishments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.en
