Досліджено специфіку механізму захисту трудових прав працівників поліції в розрізі порушення тривалості робочого часу.The relevance of the article lies in the fact that when we talk about law, in most cases associations arise in the mind with legal influence, inviolability of the law and inevitable legal responsibility for illegal actions. In general, all of the above is characteristic of legal reality, however, we forget about one of the main goals of law - to protect the interests of humanity. The problem of protection of human and citizen rights began to develop actively from the 20th century and continues in our time. The current legislation of Ukraine offers subjects of legal relations various and wide tools to protect their rights in one or another field. The employees of the bodies and divisions of the National Police of Ukraine, who are guaranteed the opportunity to defend their legitimate interests, are no exception. This issue becomes especially relevant in the aspect of establishing the regime of working hours of police officers and regulating the grounds and conditions for deviations from its normal duration, which is characterized by a large number of problems. The purpose of the article is research and disclosure of the legal mechanism for the protection of the labor rights of police officers in violation of the established norms of working hours, in connection with which the aim was to: 1) establish the essence and meaning of the concept of "legal protection of the labor rights of police officers in violation of the established norms of working hours"; 2) reveal the features and specifics of this mechanism. The article examines the essence, content and features of the mechanism of legal protection as a general scientific category of legal science. The definition of the legal mechanism for the protection of the labor rights of police officers in case of violation of established norms of working hours has been formulated. The specifics of the mechanism for protecting the labor rights of police officers in the context of violation of the length of working hours have been studied.Раскрыт правовой механизм защиты трудовых прав полицейских при нарушении установленных норм рабочего времени, определены особенности и специфика данного механизма. Рассмотрена сущность содержания и особенности механизма правовой защиты, как общенаучной категории юридической науки. Сформулировано определение правового механизма защиты трудовых прав полицейских при нарушении установленных норм рабочего времени.
