Акцентовано увагу на тому, що вказані принципи є різноманітними за своєю сутністю та змістом, а відтак їх запропоновано поділити на дві групи: загальноправові та спеціальні. Визначено, що принципи застосування заохочень до працівників Національної поліції являють собою сукупність вихідних, основоположних, базових ідей, начал, засад, які визначають вектор правового регулювання окремих суспільних відносин в сфері трудової діяльності працівників органів та підрозділів Національної поліції України, а саме правовідносин, що виникають з питань застосування до вказаної категорії працівників заохочень. З’ясовано, що всі без виключення працівники Національної поліції України мають право на застосування щодо них в установленому законодавством порядку заходів заохочення.The relevance of the article lies in the fact that the efficiency and quality of the performance of official work by employees of the National Police of Ukraine depends on many factors, among which the institute of incentives has an important and special place. At the same time, the application of incentives to police officers is a complex process in its essence and content, which is based on starting principles, original ideas, which are commonly called principles. The essence and purpose of the latter is not simply to create an ideological basis for the application of the relevant labor law institute, but also to outline promising directions for its further development. The article, based on the analysis of the scientific views of scientists, analyzed the essence and content of such concepts as: "principles" and "principles of law", on the basis of which the author's definition of "principles of applying incentives to employees of the National Police" was proposed. Attention is focused on the fact that these principles are diverse in their essence and content, and therefore it is proposed to divide them into two groups: general and special. It was determined that the principles of applying incentives to employees of the National Police represent a set of initial, fundamental, basic ideas, principles, principles that determine the vector of legal regulation of individual social relations in the field of labor activities of employees of the National Police of Ukraine, namely the legal relations that arise on the application of incentives to the specified category of employees. It was found that all employees of the National Police of Ukraine without exception have the right to apply incentive measures to them in accordance with the procedure established by law. At the same time, none of them can be limited in this right on the basis of its subjective features, that is, discriminated against. The difference of this principle lies in the fact that it expresses not only the basic idea, but also the guarantee of the police officer's realization of his labor rights, as well as the opportunity, on a par with other employees of the National Police of Ukraine, to experience a positive stim.Проведен анализ сущности и содержания таких понятий, как: «принципы» и «принципы права», на основе чего было предложено авторское определение «принципов применения поощрений к работникам Национальной полиции». Акцентировано внимание на том, что указанные принципы разнообразны по своей сущности и содержанию, а следовательно их предложено поделить на две группы: общеправовые и специальные.
