Визначено нормативно-правові акти, якими регулюється порядок розгляду поліцією звернень громадян, охарактеризовано стадії провадження за зверненнями громадян в поліції.The article analyzes the current administrative legislation of Ukraine at the theoretical and legal level, which regulates the procedure for consideration of citizens' appeals in the bodies of the National Police of Ukraine. It was determined that consideration of citizens' appeals is an administrative procedure in police bodies, which is a dynamic phenomenon and is not limited to a single action, but is a set of actions located in a certain logical sequence. A description of the procedure for citizens' appeals in the National Police bodies is given, which is divided into four stages: 1) preparation for consideration of citizens' appeals; 2) direct consideration and resolution of issues raised in citizens' appeals, providing answers; 3) analytical stage (analysis of the state of work with citizens' appeals, use of analysis results to make management decisions); 4) control over the state of work with citizens' appeals; 5) appeal of the adopted decision. The author concluded that working with citizens' appeals is an important area of activity of the National Police, which contributes to expanding the interaction of the police with the public on the basis of partnership, improving the results of the police's work. Thanks to the implementation of the procedure for consideration of appeals in police units, the following is ensured: 1) observance of the rights and freedoms of citizens during the professional activities of police officers; 2) implementation of the rights of citizens to submit proposals for improving police activities, identifying shortcomings in the work of police officers; 3) strengthening of legality and discipline in police activity.Исследованы правовые основы организации рассмотрения обращений граждан в органах Национальной полиции, очерчены пути их усовершенствования.
