Опрацьовано перспективні напрями імплементації позитивного зарубіжного досвіду правового регулювання службової кар’єри в органах поліції у вітчизняні реалії.The relevance of the article lies in the fact that, striving to become a full member of the European community, Ukraine has undertaken a number of obligations, among which priority is given to the adaptation of national legislation to global requirements and standards. This issue has particularly acutely affected the law enforcement sector of our country, one of the problematic issues of which is the creation of proper conditions for serving in the bodies and units of the National Police of Ukraine. The above, in our opinion, determines the need to study the foreign experience of legal regulation of official careers in police bodies, which, as it is seen, will contribute to the development of directions for improving the current general and special legislation in this area. The article, based on the analysis of scientific views of scientists, summarizes the positive experience of legal regulation of legal regulation of career careers in countries such as the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Georgia. The main elements of the legal regulation of the career of police officers, which take place both in foreign countries and are gradually being introduced in the legislation of Ukraine, have been identified. Perspective directions of implementation of positive foreign experience of legal regulation of official career in police bodies into domestic realities are worked out. It was concluded that among the areas of application of foreign experience in the legal regulation of official careers in police bodies, it is appropriate to name: determination of forms of discrimination during selection for the position of a police officer and further advancement in the official career, as well as establishment of disciplinary responsibility of persons guilty of discriminatory actions; the combination of both theoretical acquisitions and the formation of practical skills during preparation for the police service, as a means of developing professional skills and conditions for an effective service career; the introduction of various forms of short-term professional development (in particular, training) of working police officers, taking into account their specialization and interest in professional improvement, and determining the mandatory consideration of such professional development as a condition for promotion during the service career; carrying out forms of periodic assessment of the level of professionalism of a police officer and taking them into account in the process of solving issues of career growth of police officers.Обобщен положительный опыт правового регулирования служебной карьеры в органах полиции таких государств, как: США, Великобритания, Франция, Германия, Грузия. Определены основные элементы правового регулирования служебной карьеры работников полиции, которые имеют место как в зарубежных странах, так и постепенно внедряются в законодательстве Украины.
