Значну увагу науковців різних галузей привертають нові релігійні організації, зокрема, то­талітарні секти. У статті наводяться існуючі класифікації як нових релігійних організацій, так і то­талітарних сект. Піддані аналізу наукові підходи до виз­начення критеріїв та підстав систематизації, а також оцінені практичні можливості застосування цих знань для протидії злочинності.Existing classifications of new religious organizations including totalitarian sects have been considered in this article. The author has also studied the approaches to the classification of totalitarian sects. The author has outlined the variety of existing classifications of new religious organizations. This situation is due to the complexity, diversity and dynamism of the development of these organizations. Besides, the turnover and eclecticism of different religious dogma “newly religions”particularlymake it impossible to create a universal classification. The existence of many classifications has quite a reasonable justification, as it is studied by the specialists in various branches, who try to organize the spiritual sphere of Ukrainian society under modern conditions. Based on the conducted research the author has made the following conclusions: the classification issue of totalitarian sects is important in various scientific fields, as it always concerns a human being– the highest social value in Ukraine; a large number of classification of new religious organizations including totalitarian sects indicates about many areas of activities of human being, society and the state, which totalitarian sects influence on control; classification of totalitarian sects is of great theoretical importance, because difficult area of human life, called religious, is studied in the process of its formation and this area requires basic knowledge of world and traditional religions; history of their mutual development; their impact on a human being (in different periods); impact on society and the state; relation to the dispensation; not less important is the practical value of classifications, as practitioners (most of whom have no necessary religious knowledge) can get the necessary information from the least of effort.В настоящее время духовный мир украинского общества характе­ризуется очень широким спектром религиозных предложений. Особое внимание учёные разных отраслей обращают на новые религиозные организации, но беспокойство вызывают тоталитарные секты. В предложенной статье приводятся примеры существующих классифи­каций как новых религиозных организаций, так и тоталитарных сект. Наличие большого количества классификаций связано со сложностью, многообразием и динамичностью указанных организаций. Численность классификаций имеет огромное теоретическое и практическое значение, поскольку даёт возможность использовать именно ту классификацию, которая поможет найти ответ, а также в теоретическом исследовании и практическом применении для противодействия преступности.otherКримінологія.
