Специфіка прийняття рішень поліцейськими в умовах воєнного стану

Abstract

Досліджено теоретичні та емпіричні аспекти проблеми прийняття рішень. Прийняття рішень поліцейськими в умовах війни є надзвичайно складним завданням, яке включає врахування багатьох додаткових факторів порівняно з мирними умовами. Проаналізовано особливості факторів прийняття рішень у поліцейських з різними копінг-стратегіями.

The article analyzes the theoretical and empirical aspects of the decision-making problem. Currently, issues related to decision-making by police officers in professional situations are gaining relevance, because the choices they make can significantly affect the effectiveness of the performance of professional and official duties. The problem of decision-making by police officers is especially relevant and acquires exceptional significance in the conditions of war. Police decision-making in wartime is an extremely complex task that involves taking into account many additional factors compared to peacetime conditions. One of these factors is the dominant style of coping behavior of police officers. The study included the division of police officers into groups depending on the prevailing coping behavior and the analysis of decision-making factors in them. Three types of coping behavior were found in the studied policemen: balanced, effective and stagnant. According to the results of the empirical study, it can be noted that the studied groups of police officers with stagnant and effective coping are more likely to use such a coping strategy as vigilance. Vigilance as a coping strategy is a powerful tool for effective stress management and problem solving. It helps to structure actions, reduce uncertainty and increase a sense of control over the situation, which contributes to overall psychological well-being. Avoidance as a coping strategy is more characteristic of police officers with stagnant and balanced coping, which may provide temporary relief, but in the long run usually leads to increased stress and accumulation of problems. Hypervigilance as a coping strategy was found to be more characteristic of police officers with balanced coping. This strategy is accompanied by hesitation when making a decision and ignoring other alternatives, focusing on the negative consequences of the decision made.

Исследованы теоретические и эмпирические аспекты проблемы принятия решений. Принятие решений полицейскими в условиях войны является чрезвычайно сложной задачей, включающей учет многих дополнительных факторов по сравнению с мирными условиями. Проанализированы особенности факторов принятия решений у полицейских с разными копинг-стратегиями.
