Анотація
Розглянуто психологічну розумність як важливу характеристику особистості, яка простежується у здатності поліцейських до самоаналізу, розпізнавання та інтерпретації власних та чужих емоцій.
Поняття «психологічна розумність» є динамічним конструктом, який побудований на
когнітивних та емоційних навичках поліцейських, котрі можуть із часом удосконалюватися. Досліджено прояви психологічної розумності у курсантів-поліцейських у період фахової підготовки.
The article considers psychological mindedness as an important characteristic of the personality, which can be traced in the ability of police officers to introspect, recognize and interpret their own and other people's emotions. The concept of «psychological mindedness» is a dynamic construct that is built on the cognitive and emotional skills of police officers, which can improve over time. The purpose of the article is to study the manifestations of psychological mindedness in police cadets during their professional training. The sample consisted of 120 people, who were divided into 3 groups. The first group included 40 first-year respondents, the second group included 40 second-year respondents, and the third group consisted of 40 respondents who are representatives of the third year (graduates). The questionnaire «Psychological Mindedness Scale» by M. Shill and M. Lumley was involved in the work. It has been proven that the psychological mindedness of cadets of different courses has probable differences. It has been empirically established that first-year cadets in the most disturbing situations tend to discuss their experiences with other people. The psychological mindedness of the subjects of the first group serves as a mechanism for overcoming problems during the study period, brings them cognitive and emotional benefits and improves general psychological well-being. Second-year cadets were diagnosed with the lowest rate of willingness and readiness to discuss their experiences. Second-year respondents gradually begin to integrate the acquired experience and knowledge into their self-schema and develop a more positive sense of self. The representatives of the second year feel strong, aware of their uniqueness, which has a positive effect on their self-esteem and stress resistance. As for third-year cadets, they are most interested in understanding their own experiences and the emotions of other people. They are ready to share their own feelings if it helps them to solve a problematic situation and leads to changes in their calling. Psychological mindedness helps the respondents of this group to perform tasks in an orderly manner and to persevere in overcoming difficulties, increases the sense of their own strength and provides a sense of emotional stability in cadets-graduates.
Рассмотрена психологическая разумность как важная характеристика личности, которая прослеживается в способности полицейских к самоанализу, распознаванию и интерпретации собственных и чужих эмоций. Понятие «психологическая разумность» является динамическим конструктом, построенным на когнитивных и эмоциональных навыках полицейских, которые могут со временем совершенствоваться. Исследованы проявления психологической разумности у курсантов-полицейских в период профессиональной подготовки.
