Анотація
Розкрито проблемні питання, повʼязані із формуванням мотивів професійної діяльності та службової карʼєри працівників поліції. Доведено, що службова карʼєра є безпосереднім чинником, який формує мотивацію до професійної активності та професійного зростання працівників поліції. Наголошено, що службова карʼєра мотивує працівників поліції до службово-трудової активності, стимулює процеси кадрових просувань, що дозволяє працівникам поліції займати більш вагому та впливову посадову і соціальну
ланку, а також сприяє задоволенню своєю службово-професійною діяльністю.
The relevance of the article is that the problem of effective professional development and career growth of the National Police of Ukraine has become relevant in recent years against the background of law enforcement reform, European integration processes and the needs of society and the state. Police officers, in addition to their professional, also perform other socially important roles, in particular, they represent the face of the state and law and order. That requires the last high personal qualities, in particular: to be a bearer of authority; be able to defend their own position; to resist any outside pressure; to develop their personality in accordance with the dynamic development of legislation and society. Thus, research by researchers shows that police officers do not always have sufficient training to serve in the National Police of Ukraine, in particular, they are unmotivated for professional development and growth. That is why the problem of career and professional growth of the National Police of Ukraine needs to be solved immediately by creating and implementing the theory of motivation as an important factor in the career growth of such employees. The article analyzes the scientific views of scientists on the etymological meaning of such terms as «motive» and «motivation». Problematic issues related to the formation of motives for professional activities and careers of police officers are revealed. It has been proven that a career is a direct factor that motivates the professional activity and professional growth of police officers. It is concluded that the career development of police officers is influenced by many internal factors, which are mostly related to or due to external factors. External motivational factors determine the development of internal motivation. The more external and internal motivating factors coincide in their influence on an individual police officer, the more significant will be the result of such influence. Thus, a career motivates police officers to work, stimulates the process of promotion, which allows police officers to occupy a more important and influential position and social level, as well as contributes to the satisfaction of their professional activities.
